Yoga can increase flexibility and lean muscle mass, in addition to the benefits it brings to your nervous system. Women have to work to maintain strength and bone density, especially as we age, and yoga can do that. Since men usually have more muscle, yoga is a great way to stay flexible and prevent injury.
Why Iyengar Yoga
Lee Mozena studied and teaches Iyengar style because it emphasizes alignment- which is a key part of health, wellness, and disease prevention. By focusing on the physicality of yoga, Lee avoids endorsing any spiritual practice or religious dogma. This approach makes her classes more accessible and enjoyable for people of all faiths.
Lee's Yoga Qualifications
Lee offers all-level classes in Hatha yoga. She completed a 200-Hour Teacher Training in Iyengar style, in 2014, with Richard Schactel, at Seattle Yoga Center, who studied for decades with the late B.K.S. Iyengar. Lee has taught yoga since 2013, at LA Fitness, Zena Studio in Seattle, and at community centers in the region.
