WEIGHT LOSS
Being a woman is wonderful - and frustrating. Our bodies fluctuate in size and shape more than men's. Hormones make it harder to maintain an ideal weight- especially after pregnancy and menopause. Age slows down your metabolism and weight gain is almost unavoidable.
The goal is to maintain a reasonable balance. My wellness services focus on weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight, not weight gain.

Wellness isn't about being thin
U.S. American media is toxic when it comes to portraying women's bodies. The models you see in most ads are teenagers or digital manipulations of real humans. As long as you maintain a weight within your safe BMI range, forget about those impossible standards. Here are the three areas my coaching focuses on:
|
|
1. Move
Exercise is the first step to weight loss.
My classes are safe, fun, low-impact and strengthening. We focus on learning to move and enjoying your body - counting beats, not calories. The classes I teach and my coaching approach focus on helping you learn to listen to your body. This, in turn, can motivate you care for yourself better. You'll lose weight and get in shape but it won't feel like a chore. |
2. Enjoy
Enjoy your body
My coaching helps you juggle with less struggle. Together we'll develop and a customized wellness plan that sticks. Enjoy your life. Do you give until there's nothing left? Whether you work at home, a career or both, it's easy to get over-whelmed with commitments. |
3. Nourish
Most dieting is negative and fear-based.
These energetic choices are the opposite of what eating should be- a sacred act of nourishing yourself. Eating smart is simple but that doesn't mean it's easy. I don't recommend any particular diet, (vegan, meat, etc.), but help you learn to eat moderate amounts of fresh, whole foods. Adding an exercise regime to eating smart will help you lose weight and get in shape. |
