Get the health benefits of yoga without spiritual conflict

I wanted to design a class for Muslims who want the health benefits of yoga without spiritual conflict.
All yoga is based in Hinduism, and Hatha is the most widely practiced branch in the U.S. It's primarily focused on the physical benefits of yoga. The spirituality of class is largely dictated by the teacher. 

Religious beliefs aren't something you can check at the front desk! Most mainstream yoga classes begin and end with the simple, beautiful Hindu chant, "om".   I understand how this can make people from other religions uncomfortable. This is counterproductive to enjoying yoga and practicing it well.

All Sihha Yoga classes are private and can be delivered at Zena Studio in Lake City,  Seattle, or at a community center or masjid near you. 

One of the biggest benefits of Sihha Yoga is helping you develop strength for Salat. I'm trained in Iyengar style yoga, which focuses on alignment of bones for ease of breath and movement.  Read more about it here.

Worry free yoga

Yoga increases flexibility and lean muscle mass. It has so much to offer students, I want to offer a culturally inclusive form of  yoga to Muslims.

A Muslim colleague helped me develop Sihha Yoga TM. We hope it strengthens your body and frees your mind for devotion. 

My yoga qualifications

I completed a 200-Hour Teacher Training in  2014 from a school based in the philosophy of B.K.S. Iyengar.  

This style of focuses on conscious alignment of muscles and bones to improve posture and build strength.
