1. When, where and how much are your classes?
This is a pop-up business, with classes and events that fit your schedule- either at my private STUDIO in NE Seattle, or at a community center near you. Learn more at RATES and EVENTS.
2. What if I've never done yoga?
No problem. Just decide on the class size that feels comfortable and affordable, bring an open mind and empty stomach. I have mats and props. You can also try a free class at LA Fitness in Lake City any Tuesday at 5:45. Just call ahead to reserve your space.
3. Will yoga help me lose weight?
Probably not directly. The biggest value of yoga is to connect you with your breath and feel body. If 'shape shifting' is your goal, the first step is finding an exercise program you enjoy and will stick to. Yoga can increase flexibility and decrease the risk of getting hurt.
4. Do you only work with women?
No. I enjoy working with men, but they often experience yoga differently. My goal is to remove barriers that prevent women from the joy of exercise. Ladies-Only classes are in settings where your privacy is protected and you feel safe.
5. What are your credentials and experience?
I completed a 200 hour level national certification in Iyengar style yoga in 2014, and have 500 additional teaching hours. I currently teach weekly Hatha Yoga at LA Fitness. Learn more at ABOUT.
6. Are you Muslim? Do you speak Arabic?
No, but I'm endlessly curious about people and culture. One goal of Zena Wellness is serving women who prefer to exercise without men- and their reasons are varied. I also enjoy working with anyone who wants to improve their yoga practice and wants a small class setting.
